✔ VSL Selected as SKhynix Collaboration Partner

VSL was officially invited to and attended the ‘Deep Tech Value Up Partnership Day’ held during the COME UP 2025 event (December 10, 2025). VSL was selected as a partner company for SKhynix in the [2025 Deep Tech Value Up Program] and received a selection plaque. 

✔ What is the Deep Tech Value Up Program?

Deep Tech Value Up is a technology-based startup growth support program jointly operated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship, and the Startup Planning Center. Specifically, it supports companies in deep tech fields such as semiconductors, AI, robotics, cleantech, materials, and energy to collaborate with large corporations, validate their technologies, and rapidly advance to the actual commercialization stage.

  • Large Corporations–Startups Joint Technology Collaboration:
    • A program connecting industrial challenges faced by large corporations with startup technologies to explore actual Proof of Concept (PoC), joint development, and mass production feasibility.
  • Industrial Ecosystem Expansion:
    • Aims to establish a Korean deep tech collaboration model, going beyond simple startup support.
  • Selection of Outstanding Companies:
    • Selects companies demonstrating exceptional innovation achievements in their respective fields and formally recognizes them as partner companies.

✔ VSL selected as a partner company for the 2025 Deep Tech Value-Up Program

VSL has been selected as SKhynix’s collaboration partner company in the 2025 Deep Tech Value-Up Program. The selection plaque presented at the event contained the following message:

✔ Simulation-based automated solution for vacuum piping pass/fail determination

VSL has revolutionized the workflow process by automating a series of unit tasks related to vacuum piping design. This includes automating piping data input for up to 12 systems, automating piping conductance simulation, and automating pass/fail determination for piping. All tasks are processed in real-time as a batch. VSL's FitVac™ solution has created direct added value for customers by saving significant time and resources, shortening construction periods during fab construction, improving vacuum system efficiency, and increasing productivity. Existing simulation programs lack visualization capabilities and require users to manually type in piping conditions for system configuration. This manual data entry process carries a high risk of errors such as typos and component omissions, and only provides performance prediction simulation results limitedly. VSL's FitVac™ solution provides intuitive visualization during system configuration through 3D modeling and symbol icons, while automating piping data input to dramatically simplify the input process and reduce the potential for errors. In addition to performance simulation for vacuum systems, HiPath™ improves piping efficiency through color temperature visualization of conductance per piping component and CapaScan™ enables system optimization by evaluating pump capacity through multiple simulations and selecting the appropriate pump capacity. The ability to optimize the system through these two powerful features is our greatest differentiator and competitive advantage.​

Leveraging this technological competitiveness, VSL has conducted demonstration, verification, and delivery in the vacuum simulation field. Its selection as a collaborative partner for SKhynix in this Deep Tech Value-Up Program officially recognizes these achievements.​

✔ Why is high conductance vacuum piping important?

The design, configuration, and validation of high-efficiency vacuum piping within a short timeframe are critical tasks during fab construction. Piping installation must proceed immediately once the locations of main process equipment and pumps are finalized. Delays in piping installation not only risk postponing process testing or startup of main equipment but also significantly increase the likelihood of compromising overall system efficiency due to inefficient piping construction.​
